So he's written dozens, has he? Unfortunately he probably won't stop either. I wonder if you could forward them to my other address and I will add them to the evidence for the restraining order if it becomes necessary. Unfortunately he is rat cunning and capable of reading up on the law and launching his own court cases against his imagined enemies. Once he becomes obsessed, he becomes a huge problem to the obsessee. He was considered so dangerous by staff at the Industrial Commission that every time he came in to lodge documents they called security. He would then tell people that security were called to intimidate him because he was a whistleblower.

His original complaint was that someone used the word 'bullshit' at him in the Bill Henson thread. He called that 'defamation' and wrote me a friendly email asking for the Sydney Indy email address and at that stage I thought I'd just give it to him to make him go away as he hadn't started attacking me yet. Then he started getting furiously angry at the Bill Henson story and comments and blaming me for it all. I don't have any interest in art or Bill Henson. Next he started accusing me of being a supporter of the late John Marsden who was my second cousin. After that things just escalated.

He also claims he was 'slandered' by someone complaining that he didn't put full stops in his comments and they were impossible to read. Then he said he was 'slandered' again when someone said he'd never written an article for Sydney Indy. He claimed he wrote 2 articles. He didn't. He handed me some scribbled notes which were barely readable, no punctuation or grammar, spelling mistakes etc, and I turned them into 2 articles with great difficulty. He is incapable of putting up an article as he can't use the internet to that extent. He doesn't know what 'captcha' means either. He asked me to make him a member of Sydney Indy 2 years ago so he could put up articles but although I gave him several lessons in how to log in, he never could. 

He complains that I told someone ELSE (not him, he admits) to 'fuck off' if they didn't like Sydney Indymedia. He imagines that by telling someone else to fuck off, that is 'slandering' him.

So you can see his idea of 'slander' doesn't fit the legal definition at all!

If you are going to respond to him, you could try asking him to send you the URLs of the alleged 'slander' - that should keep him busy for a while.

It would have helped if Pye had explained her history with him, and her plans for a restraining order earlier.  
As far as I could tell, he was just another character in the long saga of her battle.
He's sent dozens of emails asking for someone to respond to him about defamation on the site.  
All Pye told me was that he was mentally unstable, so I should ignore them.  I asked her to respond to him earlier, and I got no reply.  
I'm not grinding axes, I'm just trying to deal with what looked like a legitimate complaint.  
There are other inquiries as well, from other people, that should be responded to.    

If the email from Mr. Crewdson is really that bad, write to Cam and he can remove it from the public archives.

Regardless of Gerard Crewdson's state of 
mind, if Pye's email was allowed to go public against her wish, threatening her 
employment, it is criminal neglect. I am stunned. Are there exes being ground 
here or was it a mistake? Diet

If he writes ONE MORE COMPLAINT 
  ABOUT ME, JUST ONE, I am going ahead with a restraining order, and that is how 
  I will deal with it. I will be making an appointment with the chamber 
  magistrate very fast.

Once this person gets into his head to obsess 
  about someone who has done nothing to deserve it, it can take
years to stop 
  him. He is wanting to be the centre of attention again, as he was during his 
  10 years of legal action against the state government.

I have told him 
  not to contact me - I have warned him that he must not - and if I encourage 
  him by contacting him first, then that will go against me as far as getting 
  the restraining order.

Perhaps you can tell me, now that his email is 
  in the system, if he is now on the mailing list and receiving this email 
  also.

I asked you earlier if you could deal with this person, 
  since you seem to know more about it than anyone else.  You did not 
  respond.  Mr. Crewdson's requests seem reasonable to me.  We have 
  hidden defamatory statements before.  Since the battle has been won, can 
  we not remove the defamatory statements and deal with the problem?

It 
  is not so easy to come up with a policy for dealing with the mentally 
  ill.  I know because I tried when Mr. McLoughlin was personally attacking 
  me.  

It looks as though Mr. Crewdson is not going to go away by 
  simply ignoring him.  

I'm happy that sydney indy has helped you, 
  but you can't just take the good and ignore the bad.  You opened this can 
  of worms, now you need to deal with it.
