I’d like to post this but run it past “the board” first, as it were. I believe the cause is worthy. But if anyone objects, I won’t run it.

German student to make TV film about Aborigines

The Sydney-based German newspaper, Die Woche, carried an ad looking for sponsors for a film a female German student is making about the way Aborigines live.

It’s aimed at showing on German TV and at national film festivals.

Nicole Schuessel is calling it “Rootlessness or Opportunity?” (Entwurzelung oder Chance?) and plans to start shooting in the first three months of this year. It’s to be her diploma work.

She’s looking for private or corporate sponsors for flights, transportation in Australia and accommodation; they will be named in the credits.

I’m thinking this is also a chance to steer her to the right people.

The ad has her contact only as nicole.schuessel at fh-ansbach.de. The “fh-ansbach” in the email address suggests this is the Fachhochschule Ansbach in Bavaria, which is giving a very high ranking by a tertiary study rating organisation.

The school’s website describes it as “internationally oriented”.
