Wrong. The *hour* is well defined as am or pm, with 12am-1am being just
after midnight, and the first rather than the last hour of the morning.
What's not well defined is the *instant* at midnight, which is when pm
changes to am.
If you think of 12:00 am on a computer or a digital clock not as an
instant, but rather refering to a 1 minute time interval starting from
midday then there's no problem. If you turn up to your event 1 minute
late as a result, then I don't suppose anyone will mind.
