Not happy Coutts Trotter et al, fix that personnel file with my work archived re: Sydney Indymedia/Department of Education
Dear ** ******, you have my attention on this farcical situation of paper games and
time wasters.
I've complained to the FOI section direct to both the author of their legalistic
blustering letter and to the section manager Peter Cribbs. I've leveraged my
solicitor status. I'm going to refer it to Matthew Moore at SMH direct and publish
myself, deleting your name, subject to your feedback.
I've given Cribb 3 days to fix that stupid personnel file deception so my articles
are not on some stranger's personnel file.
If not, its smh, Opposition spokes of state parliament on education matters,
alleging either incompetence, malice, vexatious meddling, or indeed fraud in that
personnel office. Such deception is suggestive of systemic abuse in my extensive
experience.
I can tell you the FOI people know how unhappy I am that my media stories are being
falsely attributed to someone else, in fact a stranger I don't know from a bar of
soap. There is no greater offence to a media practitioner, including the community
sector.
How incredulous. It may be a technically accurate FOI process, but whoever constructed
the personnel file so deceptively is in big political and professional trouble in my
assessment all the way to Coutts Trotter, federal MP wife Plybersek
or not, no fear or favour. It's a publishing gift in my assessment and Matthew Moore
will love this Big Brother joke on good governance as good public interest fodder,
not least the last embarrassment for the Dept of Education which also went to
Insight panel show and Stateline if memory serves. I am quite sure about that. And
the education reporter there at the Telegraph (Marilyn Parker) who is no slouch
either. Then there are the political reporters who will be curious to know how good
Coutts Trotter actually is in running his show.
And the FOI section has an obligation to reflect this joke performance back to their
human resources section internally.
Big brother thuggery/arrogance by the smell of it. But that'll be my grist now they
have tried this narrow hair splitting justification for bogus fiction.
You can take this as pro bono legal advice too.
Yours truly
Tom McLoughlin, solicitor in NSW
