hey all,

i'm calling for an (informal) oceania irc chat (oceania channel) for
this Sunday, 17th June, to discuss the proposal from cam
(http://lists.indymedia.org.au/pipermail/imc-oceania/2007-June/003252.html)
to think about "an Australia wide IMC" and the possibility of "an
Oceania wide IMC", aswell as other ideas that have come out of the
recent discussion on email

i think it's great to see this discussion, so i thought an online chat
could be useful too.

Aotearoa: 9pm (Sunday)
Sydney/Brisbane/Melbourne: 7pm (Sunday)
Darwin/Adelaide: 6.30pm (Sunday)
Perth/Manila: 5pm (Sunday)
Nukualofa/Apia: 10pm (Sunday)
Hawai'i: 11pm (Saturday)

How to use the indymedia chat?
Either install an IRC client like x-chat or Nettalk, or (1) go to
https://chat.indymedia.org (2) type in a nickname and under extra
channel type oceania (3) unclick the indymedia channel if you don't
want to be in that channel otherwise just leave it (4) click chat and
it will connect you. => you can move between channels (chatrooms) at
the bottom. other people in the chatroom are shown on the right hand
side.
