I am sad about Melbourne closing and puzzled that they gave in to ludicrous troublemakers. Is that failure government-driven, I wonder, hiding behind 'groups'? It's amazing what a few well placed dollars can achieve. 

For about 6 years, as I recall, Melbourne was the preferred site I went to while living in Germany to get 'the real news' about my country, Australia. I always liked its layout and its compilations of contributions. As a mainstream journalist I liked its 'journalistic' handling while staying on the fighting side.

I favour an Australia site. From abroad, you want to be able to go to a national site rather than to several cities. Local and regional wires cover those needs.

I am a busy semi-retiree but I offer my journalistic experience to work with a national site.
