[Imc-oceania] Some DVD questions - anyone out there work on the Oceania Newsreal?

Hi,

I did the authoring for all three Oceania Newsreals. I think Andrew
mentioned this off-list, but I made them all as VCDs, not DVDS, as it
was much cheaper to do so then.

I did use a bad freeware DVD-authoring program for Mac recently called
Sizzle DVD. It's not much chop, and hard to use, but it works (just).

I've only ever used DVD Studio Pro for Mac to author DVDs with menus,
it's pretty much the industry standard now. It's really good if you can
get hold of it, though you'll have to spend a bit of time getting to
know it. Another option is to use iDVD which comes standard with Mac
10.3 and above. It's simple and easy enough to use.

It would be really good to know about your experiences using FOSS
DVD-authoring programs however. If you have any success with them,
please let us know!

Your other option is to just make a DVD without a menu. The FOSS Burn
application for Mac is pretty good if you want to do this, or any other
program for your OS that will burn a DVD-Video disc.

Cheers,
Anna
