hi GDM (and all),
as you're no longer subbed to catkore you may not have seen Leah's
response, as you mustn't have seen the previous discussion about
how cat can recover from its troubled state, and what to say about
it to our members & users. But its probably a bit late to rejig things
now. You might want to check the catkore archives for yesterday's
from Leah. Some of the earlier discussion was off-list due to our
tech disasters & mail unreliability.

Maybe its enough to say that its because of our concern for important
activist projects (like that for the G20) that we are facing up to our
reliability issues. It'd be sad if cat simply collapsed (again) one day,
taking all our hosted sites and lists with it, perhaps irretrievably. This
could conceivably still happen within the remaining weeks.

Our tech support base is now so reduced and overstretched that we are
no longer even sure whether our back-up systems are still functioning.
And we can scarcely pay for hosting long enough to keep Active Sydney
alive til its rebirth under ActivePlone on axxs.org.

Anyway, thanks for your concern. We are still doing our best with
much-reduced resources.
