I raised the Oceania meeting at last Melbourne Collective meeting:
Oceania Meeting
Oceania want people to help organise conf. to coincide
with Students For Sustainability in mid July. Hoping
to get SFS to fund? IM- Delegates from Manila and QC.
People were positive and I'm sure the meet can be pulled off. And. ,
presently travelling, is interested in organising conference when he
returns to Melbourne, shortly.
We haven't discussed particulars yet. I suggest we set up an IRC meeting
to discuss more details.
Do we want it at the same time as SoS, slightly before, slightly after?
Numbers expected?
Where to meet?
Accomodation for interstate/internationals?
Agenda for the meet.
Technical issues
Video Sydnication

I'm pretty sure we can get a venue...perhaps use the Irene warehouse in
Brunswick. Accomodation can be organised - my household can put up
people if necessary. I would expect the Oceania conference will be a
fairly small affair. Not a general come everyone conference. By its
nature I think it will attract those already involved in Indymedia and
perhaps a few locals on the edge. I am sure the Melbourne Indy
Collective can manage this.
