Hi,
It has come to the attention of those working on G20 solidarity
campaign that someone named Andrew from Indymedia (not A-Lo, I dunno who
it is) was asked if their footage could be used to help someone's case.
I am not 100% sure off the top of my head but I think it relates to when
the truck driver was being hassled to the point where he faced the
options of a) reversing over people and killing them or seriously
injuring them, or b) getting massive fines for staying where he was. He
got a massive fine and is challenging it in court BUT HE NEEDS
EVIDENCE!!!.
Someone said Andrew has it but won't give it, and I do not know the
details of this. Perhaps it is just a communication error and actually
Andrew will certainly hand over the footage. The driver's court case is
coming up soon in July. If anyone has it, or knows an Andrew from
Indymedia who was filming this, or if anyone else has footage that might
help an arrestee's case, it would be awesome to get the footage.
Yours in expectant reciprocal solidarity,
Liz Turner
