My name is Elgar Welch and I am a representative of a Sydney based  
media development organisation named Scopical. We are in the process  
of developing a new online media concept to be launched within  
Australia in the first half of 2007. As such, we are currently  
approaching independent media organisations in the hope of obtaining  
support for the development of this concept. We are not asking for  
financial support, but rather support in the form of content and media  
syndication.

The fundamentals of the concept is to provide a nexus of independent  
online content and media for observation and interaction by all  
members of Australian society. The service will be online based and  
available for use by anyone with an internet connection. It's aim is  
to provide a balanced area of political and social debate, whilst also  
providing infrastructure for individual and citizen driven media,  
ultimately allowing for greater interaction and understanding by all.  
This concept does not seek to reduce the audience of your current  
media, but contribute to a larger independent presence within  
Australian media.

We believe that by working in syndication, a more diversified and  
balanced national media could potentially be developed, with further  
promotional opportunities available to contributing partners.
Currently, we are actively working to develop the facilities required  
to operate this concept, which include full interactivity and  
communication from all perspectives. We understand that this approach  
may seem informal, but we would be extremely interested in the  
prospect of meeting or speaking with a member of your team to discuss  
this concept with you further. As this development is fluid, we are  
appealing for as much feedback as possible.

We would greatly appreciate your thoughts and would be happy to send  
further information on this concept for your own reference.
