I dunno I am just passing this on ... I can easily overwrite the files, but can't spend hour or so going thru how it works and hacking the code Dave From and at axxs.org Wed Oct 25 10:29:01 2006 From: and at axxs.org (and) Date: Wed, 25 Oct 2006 11:29:01 +0100 Subject: [Imc-melbourne-geeks] dev Message-ID: <2C0AAAB4-5C46-4DFF-A8A0-5BFAC10B2C24@axxs.org> Heyas, so Glenn has been working on skinning the site (basically along the lines of what the site currently looks like - given the time/energy people have i think this is the most sensible) http://dev.melbourne.indymedia.org/ I think it looks good but I am not sure about the flexible width, it makes the centre column too wide, personally i think fixed width works better. so the main to dos as i see them are 1. Add in all static pages and build left nav (inc. donate and mailing list fields) 2. finish CSS 3. add cron jobs 4. create custom views for features/newswires 5. Import all content from current site and make sure URLs redirect to new locations - this needs to be done right before going live to make sure it's all up to date. so 1 i think takver could easily do :) 2 is glenn 3, 4, 5 require vik. then testing ensues. it's getting there, bit by bit. https://docs.indymedia.org/view/Local/ImcMelbourneRedev
